Google Classrooms

I am now introducing Google Classrooms for all pupils in year 6-8. Use your GAFE accounts to log in. Some of you are already familiar with the classrooms and some of you will be introduced next week. I hope you will enjoy this platform for various communication!

Unexpected visitors

This week we'll be working with the text Unexpected Visitors which is about two aliens who get to experience the first moon landing. We'll work together with understanding the text, but I would like for you all to prepare at home by reading/listening to the text.
We will also focus a little extra on twelve of the words from the text. We will have a vocabulary test on these words Tuesday week 18.

The words are: 
  • creature - varelse
  • meal - måltid
  • suit - dräkt
  • ladder - stege
  • suit - dräkt
  • giant - jätte-, stort
  • clumsy - klumpig
  • ground - mark
  • took off - lyfte
  • rubbish - skräp
  • engine - motor
  • blow - blåsa
Class 6A will also learn more about how to use a and an, which class 6B did last week.

The Body/Stand by me

Here's the instructions for your text on novel The Body and the film Stand by me. Your paper is to be handed in no later than the 12th of May. The computers are booked for the next few lessons and we'll begin writing tomorrow!

Do not forget that you are to send your work in progess to me at least once before the 12th as I would like to give you feedback on your work before it's finished.

Presentation Year 7

Next week the class will begin to prepare your oral presentations in connection with our work with the theme Football (Good Stuff B).
We will work with the preparations during weeks 16-18, and present our work during week 19.

Aussie Rules Football

During week 15 we will be working with the text Aussie Rules Football on page 80-81 in textbook. In class today we spoke about some of the words from the text. The words are your homework for this week. You need to know the translation, the article (a/an), which ones are nouns and which ones are adjectives, what the nouns are in plural, and how to compare the adjectives. Your test will be quite similar to the one you had last week.

This week we are working with the text Memoirs of a referee on page 78-79 in textbook. In class today we spoke about some of the words from the text. The words are your homework for this week. You need to know the translation, the article (a/an), which ones are nouns and which ones are adjectives, what the nouns are in plural, and the additional words for the slang words copper and bloke.
