Carols at Christmas

Christmas is just over, but it appears the pupils in class 6A are still in the festive spirit. When deciding what theme from Happy they wanted to begin working with, the theme Christmas and New Year won, hands down.

The first text we'll be working with is Carols at Christmas on page 78-79 in your textbook. The text is about five children discussing their favourite Christmas carols or Christmas songs. Do you know the difference between a carol and a song? Think about it and be prepared to discuss it in class.

Both class A and class B will have their vocabulary test Tuesday the 19th of January. Here are the words you need to know:

Christmas traditions from around the world

We're counting down to Christmas, and with the first advent candle lit it's about time we get into the spirit of Christmas even at school!

This week we'll begin by discussing last weeks film Cast Away, before leaving the sun, sand and desert islands behind us. We'll then spend our remaining lessons getting familiar with various Christmas traditions from around the world. 

I won't be in school on Thursday but instead Henrietta and Jan will be there to take care of you. Among other things you will be watching the video below!
